July 8, 1987, Young Toke was born Samuel B. Dale Jr. “Second born outside of wedlock to a young couple torn.” Toke is one of 4 children born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia a small town where possibilities are few and dreams are thoughts not to be dwelled on. Writing music has always been a love in his life and more importantly it was his first love. And by the age of 13, Sammie had finally found his sound and himself a name to go by in his art. Young Toke was a name given to him by his group of friends, with him being the only African American in his tiny circle of Friends. Contributing Verses to several local mixtapes before the age of 15 made Toke a force to be dealt with in Brunswick. However, when school needed more attention he left the game to concentrate on his studies. Three years later school became a problem for Young Toke having been Kicked out twice from two different schools, Toke decided to move on with his life and dropped out. But a blessing in disguise because this even would send him back into his musical roots. April 26, 2006 he released a mixtape by the name of “I’MMA SAMPLE LIKE P. DIDDY ON THESE TRACKS.” It featured hit remixes to Today's Hit songs including: Neyo's So Sick Shawanna's Gettin Some and GET NASTY( a completly rewrittin song over MS. NEw Booty Instrumental) But it was a rush job and was poorly received by his peers. October 24, 2006 Young Toke released "The Cortex" a well recieve follow up album which is still generating street buzz. With hot tracks produced by some young hungry up and coming producers Y.T. made sure that "The Cortex" was one classic underground record that will not soon be forgotten. With tracks featuring Rick Ross, Young Dro, T.I., Justin Timberlake, and many more he's proved himself as one of the heavy hitters under the radar.... There is no telling when this Young Gun will finally recieve his dues and have his major come up. Now at work on his third album in 2 years Titled “THE REBIRTH.” Token is planning to bring REAL hip-hop back to the rap scene. A mellow CD with several uplifting tracks including: THE REBIRTH GET SET ASHES And several others including a remix to Ne-yo’s Hit single “DO YOU.” It’s Only a matter of time before this 20 years old prodigy finally gets his dues.
