The story of All She Wrote is very similar to that of other bands. Members of a few different bands end up jamming together and things begin to make sense. Guitar player Ronnie Walker, returned to Fayetteville after a brief stint with the Uriah Omen (He Is Legend) rejoining band mates from Somewhere Infinity and ex-members of Forever July. After trying out a few different and capable vocalists they joined forces with James Yowell and quickly recorded a self-titled demo. Beginning in the winter of 2005 All She Wrote started as a five piece metalcore outfit, but after parting ways with a guitar player and some other line-up changes, the band was rounded out with original bass player Mike Loper and became what it is now. They recorded a second EP, but still felt their records didn?t represent the band?s sound. After sharing the stage with national acts the likes of God Forbid, Strapping Young Lad, GoatWhore, Alabama Thunderpussy, Hope and Suicide and headlining Raleigh?s Swamp Stock in 2006, All She Wrote set out in May of 2007 to write music that represented what they loved most?loud, blues-based, nasty, southern metal. They recorded and produced a third record on their own with drummer and producer John Hudson at the helm and As The Crow Flies was born. Kind of like any other hot rod made up of high-performance spare parts, All She Wrote ain?t the prettiest, nor is she the most fuel efficient, but she?s loud and mean as hell. Hold on to your pink slips boys and girls.
