The two members of Fireworks, Zach and Alex, have been writing songs together for about four years, half of which they spent in a lamentably aimless high-school rock/blues/folk/alternative combo with a shifting lineup called Wunderbar. After heading off to their respective colleges, miles and miles apart, they decided to see if they couldn't still make the band thing work. The result of their efforts is Fireworks. Even though they primarily stay connected via the internet, they've managed to achieve a surprisingly confident and cohesive songwriting identity. In the summer and fall of 2007, they recorded their second self-produced album and are now trying to actually get someone to notice.
