The Chris Devins Band Drummer Matt Walker of the Smashing Pumpkins and Filter with bassist Saul Schneider of the James Iha Band collaborated with vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Chris Devins to produce a ten song CD featuring the single Finally. The song was tracked by grammy award winning producer Stephen Stuart Short, most recently known for his work with singer Michelle N'degeocello. After being featured as the top local demo song of the week on popular alternative Chicago radio station Q 101, the single Finally was placed into light rotation. To date, roughly 2000 units of the album The Chris Devins Band: Big City Walk have been distributed, no small feat for a strictly underground artist.
