The River Rats started out as the house band at Mulligans, Peoria Il., in the fall of '97, playing every Thursday for three years straight along with the house gig at Champs On Main, Peoria Il., every weekend. With a little over 468 gigs under their belt, the River Rats planned to take the show on the road. From playing at Alice Cooper's "Cooperstown" Denver Co. to Buddy Guy's "Legends" Chicago Il. to the famous "Slippery Noodle Inn" in Indianapolis, IN., the River Rats are on their way to being one of the hardest working blues bands in the Midwest. Since then, The River Rats has went through a few personnel changes and has joined forces with Chicago blues legend and Handy Award Winner, Eddie King.
