theRide introduces a progressive new style to modern Christian music. Incorporating biblically charged lyrics with technical instrumentation, the members of theRide have a heart to inspire all listeners to worship God. Their combined musical inspirations have brought together such influences as the Newsboys, Dave Matthews Band, Switchfoot and David Crowder Band. theRide’s front-man, Joseph Schlegel, has been busy writing new and progressive songs preparing for the band’s debut album. His own collection of original compositions is reflected in 13 catalog albums that display over 150 original songs. Joseph currently serves as the worship leader for his church in Vail, Colorado. Stephen Couch (bass) and Jon Melot (rhythm guitar) have been leading worship in various places for over eight years each.
