My teacher with whom I (David Lewis) studied drums and percussion was a student of Jim Chapin. In writing my first songs with a lifetime friend (Mike Tayman), we developed our own original style. From then on, we took on two other members (Stephen Payne and Billy Maddox) who also fit our style. After composing and copyrighting more than 20 original songs, we narrowed our song list down and began recording with Ron Vento(NightSky Studios, Waldorf MD). Ron and 3rd Complaint signed an artist-producer agreement and recorded a 11 song full length CD. Ron is an up and coming Producer with years of musical, engineering and recording experience. He also recorded the band Wakefield who came out of the Southern Maryland area. Presently we promote ourselves by distributing our CD and by playing shows in the Metropolitan Washington and Baltimore areas.
