In 2003, Jasen Colson and Eric St-Cyr were looking for a new creative outlet after their band The Shells fizzled apart. Taking 6 of the songs from their repetoire, they created a solid demo, doing all the instruments themselves. With positive feedback from everyone who heard it, they quickly realized they need to take this to a live setting, and recruited Jason St-Cyr for bass duties, and Ryan Lindsay on guitar. The quartet recorded the full length home recording Stop Abusing Yourself. With a radio career on his mind, Ryan Lindsay packed up for Fredericton and waved goodbye. twelve34 felt it was time for a change in sound, and aquired Chris Amos for percussion duties, giving the sound of the band a much tighter rhythm section. The new lineup recorded their second full length home recording, 'nkyou. However, the lack of a second guitarist was creating a hole in the dynamic, thus along came Dave Doran to fill in the gap. With the full sound the band was looking for, the five members of twelve34 went on to create their best work yet, a studio recorded EP by the name of Sinful Melody, featuring their first radio hit Everyday. The band is currently working on their first full length studio album - featuring some re-recorded versions of fan favourites from the past, along with some great new tracks as well. The release of the album is aimed for late summer, 2007.
