More...Why hello.
Happy belated Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it. And happy Black Friday, if that's how you roll.
I can't tell you how grateful this nomadic musician is to be cooking. Roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Sautéed kale and chard with garlic. Sweet cornbread with buttermilk. Dark, speckled roux for gravy. And to be cooking for family, too-buzzing around the kitchen makes me realize how much is involved in being a homemaker, in putting food on the table for people you love, how much I'm both relieved-of and missing-out-on in the life I've chosen. It's good to be home, even for two days.

NEXT THURSDAY: LIVE ALBUM RECORDING PART I
I know, it snuck up on us too. Is it really next Thursday that we'll roll tape and recruit audience members and friends to harmonize, play and maybe heckle us for a live album?
Yes, yes it is.

NEW MERCH: CUSTOM-AUTOGRAPHED JOURNALS
We've got new merchandise in the online store: spiral-bound journals made from recycled cardboard and paper. With a clever elastic loop for a pen. Might make a nice gift if it were personalized, we thought, and so...
For the first 50 orders, I'll sign them on the inside cover and write any song lyric, dedication, message, etc. that you request. (Oh, the possibilities. If you've always wanted to get me to write something embarrassing in my own hand, now's your chance.)
Order before Monday, Dec 7 so I can get yours out in time for the holidays!

We're having a 30% off sale on past tour apparel too:

Tour this fall has flown by, one magical show after another, and though we are Very Tired of driving, we also kind of don't want it to end. There aren't many left, but they're gonna be good ones...
Alex & I join forces with the bluesyjazzymoodysexybrainypoetry of Over The Rhine for five Northeast shows: http://overtherhine.com/
We also revisit greater Philly's lovely Sellersville Theater and take a jaunt to Park City, Utah. (Alex: "YEEEAAAH SNOWBOARDING!")
We close out the year with shows on Dec 19 & 20 in northern California, the hometown holiday show tradition with some live recording thrown in. Wait, did I say the 19th? That's supposed to be a secret...
