So true about the mainstream market - but that still must of been a very cool show and I know when doing a covers/collaborations album, a man can do a lot worse than Joni Mitchell songs. I hope to catch Herbie live again very soon, because we don't know how much longer he'll be with us.
Both are tremendous music minds - but its ashame Hancock hasn't written any original compositions in ten years - he's too brilliant to spend his final days recording with John Mayer. If you want a great mind trip, check out Miles Davis, Live Evil. Acid jazz at its best.
The new Nine Inch Nails is really something else. I hope Trent continues in this kind of epic direction - he finally has the freedom to do whatever he wants and creatively for an artist that is always a great place to be.
weird. another ilike friend's rec of yael naim's 'new soul' came up at the same time as yours under my 'activities' tab...and i don't see any connection between you two. hmm. good rec though.
Jeremys doing good! and how would Suzanne be doing??? working hard as usual??? one more week here and then I start my new job in burbank.....we have to meet up one of these days....
