Gary, your link for Silver Jews is wrong!!!!(it's Ida Maria song : very nice) ), i heard that they intended to go touring in Europe soon , i cross my fingers for France ! la bise,Ww
ohhh G, Can I have that Ida Maria song? The title is too precious! You still have my email? BTW, I'm not missing Frightened Rabbit unless I'm dying or out of the country.
Are you the new promoter? That would make perfect sense. Unfortunately for us, Denver is about 1 hour, 45 minutes away. So any show we see better be worth it. Thus, our plotting a move back east - probably new york this time. PS - I think we'll keep away from the cluster-fuck that is Denver during the convention. It's a mess enough without that goings on. Though, we do need to make a run to the Apple store...
Yessir, that Felice Bros. album kicks. So, since you mentioned it, I've just gotta ask: did Awesome Color live up to my deranged praises? [You really should check out their live show if you ever get a chance. They'll melt your eyeballs into your brain, and you'll wanna kiss them for it afterwards.] Toodles, love! - L.
You are lucky. White Rabbits and Walkmen are two of my faves. No one comes to Denver. It's a city of posers. So more power to you. I'm jealous of your Walkmen prowess.
hi Gary ! Bombay bicycle club : did you listen to the whole recs ? thoses kids are so brilliant .yes Open House is a great song : Brian Molko (Placebo) meets Alamo Race track meets strokes ? xoxo,Ww
Bands from yr top-list I have seen live: SY & Yo La Tengo. The latter were breathtaking - I had not even heard much of them before I went to that gig and it simply felt like they are even more so of what I like about them. You like bands with an attitude, right? ;) I will have to check some of your rec`s...
Hello from Germany! Feels good to be added to your club here - looks like we have quite some common friends! Have to check your profile now, do not want to just write "oh you like sonic youth", too - would be a bit unoriginal right? Oh .
Until later & all the best, J.
you! are making me guffaw!! please, have some more coffee, lol! whoa...you are *choreographically* challenged?? b/c if that's the case, then i'm afraid that i simply can't include you in my next dance sequence....snort, LOL....damn that over-drinkin excuse-makin BF o'mine, joshua m. homme, aka J-Ho! what a jerk! at least there was a happy ending for you....you're obsessed w/ swedish music?? there are so many great artists from there, riiight? & those squiggly things...that is czech, my friend! -but i *am* learning one swedish word a day.....soon, i will be able to say "i am an extreme dork" in swedish. ah....to have goals!

Ya, I really like the new songs they have up. I heard them live last week and they were great. I can't wait for the new album, but it's not out till september.
hi Gary, your Paul Weller song is not too bad ! ....a perfect summer song, yes indeed .:o) did'nt yet listen to the new album, but i think it 'll be great , cross my fingers ,la bise,Ww
Hi! tnx for the msg! I lost a lot of music from my ipod so, Im still recovering a lot of stuff, I really liked the last album of the Guillemots, and the new one, I havent had a chance to listen carefully to it! I´ll let u know! Greetings from Mexico city!
don't forget that there are seemingly billions of bands that use the word 'crystal' in their names. and then there was that whole 'ice cream' phenomenon ... and the 'panda' pandemic...
Utterly charming. And those kids are tight. Ellen reminds me of a young Kim Gordon. They played the ballad. Ballad = 2 minutes of bringing it down, 3 of rocking the house.
not at all Gary, by post rock i meant "music"often instrumental music ( TORTOISE, GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR!, SLINT, Mogwai - A Silver Mt. Zion, JUNE of 44 , could be considered as post rock bands ) grrr... i can't express exactly in good english what i meant , why don't you speak french ! hahaha..... replacements : let it be is their best album , xoxo,Ww
not genius, just mad of music ! "Don't bring me down"" is a great song , Jeff Lynn is one of the best and popular popsong writer of the 80's .Do you listen to post-rock music Gary?xoxo,Ww
Yeah it was a real shame about The Dead 60's....they had just recorded the 2nd album....and they say that they're not sure if it will see the light of day. Great live band saw them a few times. Full of energy. I'll miss em! ...R
Hey thanks so much for the support...Yeah, I saw that you found me on Facebook too! Keep in touch and keep listening (I've got some new stuff coming out soon)...

I'm so glad you did because of the full version songs on there. I'm listening right now...I love it!! Aww, I see you added Over The Rhine! I love them...maybe cuz I'm from Cincy but they are very good.
Glad you are loving The Last Shadow Puppets. Great vid isn't it? I was lucky enough to catch the Arctic Monkeys live before they were signed and just an internet rumour. They were phenomenal!! Packed house and all the kids new the lyrics. Never seen that before! Cheers.
isn't it though? It reminds me of me...watch out Gary!! Totally kidding. =) I will have to check out American Music Club soon. You're going to that too? It's like you are 29 and I'm 49.
Know what's funny about that track? Seems to be verrrry polarizing. Everyone I talk to, any message board I look at, it's either: "this is brilliant!" or it's "why the fu*k did they bother recording this one?" I think it makes me lurve it more. Glad I brought one more to my side. Muuahhaahhhaa!

oooo, that Avett Brothers song is fine, oh so fine. When was it on Conan? I thought I was keeping up with Conan even through the strike! Did you see the strike beard? I watched Monday night...he shaved it damnit! Oh well...thanks for the rec!!! I'm such a sucker for the banjo =)
