Nice tracks Josh, thanks for sharing with us! Superslow connection means downloading one at a time, but I'm enjoying what I've got so far.

"Here's another song from my latest release, "The Simple Life". This one is the most rock-y song, and it's also the most overtly political. While the song was inspired by my man Obama, it's more a call for political involvement no matter where you live, or where you fall on the left-right spectrum. Hope you enjoy, and please pass it on if you do!"

"Here's a fun little tune from "The Simple Life". The cello part on this took me a comically long time to record, because... well, I suck at the cello. :D But this is one of my favorites from the new CD, so I hope you enjoy, too!"

"I just got back from three amazing weeks in Italy, and I can't stop babbling incessantly about the trip. So here's an appropriate song from my new album. :) Enjoy, and please share it with your friends if you dig it!"

"There aren't enough pop songs with banjo in them. I will make it my mission to fix this."

May 15, 2008

"This is one of the stranger songs I've ever done, but one of my personal favorites. It's a post-apocalyptic lullabye from my new CD, "The Simple Life" (part 2). Enjoy!"

"This is the first instrumental song I've ever done. And probably the last, because it was a real challenge to tell a story with just a guitar, but I'm really happy with how it came out. Enjoy! "

"Here's another song from my new CD, "The Simple Life". This one is brand new, and was never released before now. It's dark and groovy. You can watch the video on my Facebook artist page: http://www.joshwoodward.com/fb Feel free to friend me while you're there. ;) Enjoy!"

"I'm thrilled to announce that my latest releases are now available for FREE download at JoshWoodward.com! There are two albums packaged as one, called "The Simple Life". The songs are from the frantic sessions over the past 8 months, and the versions here are vastly improved over the demos I put out. I've never been happier with anything I've released - I hope you enjoy it, too. This song is one I wrote five years ago and finally managed to capture on tape for "The Simple Life". I hope you enjoy. Please pass the news along to anyone who might be interested!"

"I'm all done with February Album Writing Month, and I'm starting to put the final polish on the tracks and prepare for a CD release (or two!). Here's the first of the batch. It's an acoustic track that's definitely a little odd, but I love it. By the way, if you enjoy this song, please share it! If you're on Facebook, you can add it to your profile or dedicate it to someone: http://apps.facebook.com/ilike/artist/Josh+Woodward/track/Flutter+By+Butterfly Because you guys are amazing, "History Repeats" was at the top of the fast-spreading Garageband tracks this week! Thanks so much for your support!"

"Here's the first song from my February Album Writing Month project! It's called "History Repeats" and it's purrty. Keep an eye on JoshWoodward.com for many more songs over the coming month!"

"After a little break to set up a new studio, I'm back with a new song! This one is a little poppier and rockier than a lot of the other material I've been doing lately. I hope you like. Stay tuned for lots of new tunes in February :)"

"Here's the last song from the WEEK OF ROCK. It's all acoustic-y and purrty. Hope you enjoy. :)"

Dec 10, 2007

"I came up with a lot of good songs during my most recent WEEK OF ROCK. But there's one of them that I secretly like better than any of the rest. One of them that I keep listening to myself, like some kind of evil guilty pleasure. That song is "The Bottom". And now I will unleash it on you. :)"

Nov 30, 2007

"Here's another new one from the WEEK OF ROCK that I just finished polishing up. I can't quite decide if this is a happy song or a sad song, but it has a glockenspiel, so there is that. I hope you enjoy it at any rate!"

Nov 20, 2007

"Here's my newest tune! Every once in awhile, a song comes out of me that I didn't think I was even capable of doing, and this is one of those. I hope you enjoy it, too! And if you do like it, feel free to add it to your profile. ;-)"

Nov 08, 2007

"Here's the second song from my songwriting marathon last week. This one's a laid-back acoustic song with a rare element for me: real cello. I'm not much of a cellist, so don't listen too closely. ;-)"

Nov 07, 2007

"I just finished a WEEK OF ROCK songwriting marathon last week, and I have seven new songs available on JoshWoodward.com! I'm starting to put the final polish on them, and releasing them to my favorite iLikers. :) Here's the first of the bunch, an old-school dark acoustic tune called "Me and Billy Barnum". Enjoy, and stay tuned for six more songs soon!"

"Here's a new song with a little bit of a different sound than usual. I don't really know how to describe the style, but if you have any ideas, please share. :) Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy!"

"Ok, I get it. I put out a happy sappy song, and days later, people are rowing down Findlay's Main Street in canoes. It's time to balance the universe out. Here's a brand new choon for you, more in my traditional style. :) If you like my darker acoustic songs, such as "I'll Be Right Behind You, Josephine" and "She Dreams in Blue", this will be right up your alley."

Aug 18, 2007

"Now that my two most recent CDs are out in the wild, here's my first demo of the new batch. This one is a little different than my usual fare: it's a love song without a hint of irony or sarcasm. Granted, there's a little dose of goofiness thrown in. But it's not sarcastic or ironic goofiness. And nobody dies. :)"

Aug 11, 2007

"My new CDs are now out! Check out JoshWoodward.com to download both of them 100% free. This is a brand new, unreleased song from one of the CDs, "Dirty Wings". It's called "Cien Volando". Let me know what you think!"
