I'm pretty iffy on the new Spinto Band album as well. They were good live, but Frightened Rabbit blew them off the stage. Shame is FR opened. Many people left during the Spinto set. g =)~
You're seriously one of my favorite iLikers because with pretty much every recommendation, you have the free download. Keep it coming, you're awesome, and thank you. :)
kitty craft is a defunct project from the washington, dc record label march records. another awesome artist on that label is "sprites" - http://www.ilike.com/artist/Sprites
Je suis désolé, I'm not here very often at the moment. Thank you for all the songs and recs you're sending to me. Hope all is well. Je t'embrasse. Anna
[Vadoinmessico - A Short Story]... A guy from Italy and a guy from Mexico meet at college in London. They and their good friends from Austria & England form a band. A girl on holiday in the south of France hears their music, and recs it to a boy in America. The music is now loved around the world. THE END
Hey Li'l Miss! It looks like there will be a full length record sometime this Fall for Telekinesis. I'll let ya know what I hear!! Glad you likes =) Happy weekend!!
Hey ya! BBClub is kicking, and I didn't realize they had another ep until your rec. I just read an interview that stated the reason they aren't working on an album yet is because they want to finish high school. Jamie said, "There's a North London scene. Like Cajun Dance Party who go to our school. And there's an all-ages thing every week with bands playing that is usually really good." How cool is that?
Hey!
I like it (I J), especially the music, not really sure about the voice all that much. I will check them out further (_:
Have a beautiful weekend. M
Team WP "Letting Go" is a "sweet popsong" indeed! Still a genius in my eyes. Did I mention I saw Thao Nguyen & The Get Down Stay Down last weekend. So incredible!
Hey Dub u Dub U. I haven't had a chance to thank you for all the great recs lately. I also appreciate your kick in the head re: Stephen Malkmus. I have always loved Silver Jews. They are coming here in August. Soooo excited. g =)~
Ahhh!!! I've been meaning to thank you for the "Black Ramps" rec...it made me feel soooo much better about my abandonment ;) Finally, SOMETHING to temporarily fill my Pavement void!
Hey there. Been behind listening to everything, but wanted to thank you for the Travis DeVries stuff, as well as the Cymbals Eat Guitars stuff. (Et des autres aussi but this is off the top of my head... =D)
Look out, your wishes may come true. Did I tell you my travels will be bringing me to Nice for a week in late August? So many places, so little time!!! Thanks for being a great friend!!!
Hi there! Ohw... it was just a bug in the system. Got it out, start fresh =) Would be nice if my sidebar would connect with my new profile though. How have you been? Thanks for Amateur Radio Operator... Great find!
We lost a Icon of American politics this week. Tim Russert the journalist expired of sudden cardiac death. In a time when America needs leadership and direction, this was a great blow. This may seem strange, but art & politics are very intertwined to me (Woody Guthrie i.e.). The loss of a musician and a political reporter may seem dissimilar, but they are both charged with the duty to disseminate the truth. Both artist and pundit will be sorely missed .
Hello !!

Consider me educated. I don't really listen to a lot of that stuff. I like God Speed, and Explosions in the Sky, but usually I stick to music with vocals so that I can sing along and annoy my neighbors. BTW Your English is fine, you don't type with an accent at all!
Oh My God..... Tell me it's not so! I finally found something for YOU to download and enjoy that you did not already have my little Indie/Pop Princess! LoL.... I'm glad you enjoyed it. It hits a little close to home right now, but it is a great tune. Best, Matt
Yes, loved it. Did you listen to Destroyer's new one? Trouble In Dreams? It's so good.
I'm glad to be your friend too.
I just discovered Quinn Walker, cause they will be playing in my country with Cocorosie and Rio en Medio, and in they're page there you where next to the amazing Supermoxie!

By post rock I guess you mean things from the vinyl era. I have a lot of albums from that era, but I tend to gravitate to new music. For someone my age older music is less about discovering than remembering, and I'm not very nostalgic by nature.
I just posted my more than obvious post re: The New Pornographers, but as an addendum... one of the encores was "Don't Bring Me Down" by ELO. Are you a genius or what?.
how could i ever choose which song to cover??? there are so many! jk c'est un bonne idee! i just heard the best cover of idioteque by radiohead by levi weaver.....AMAZING
Hardboiled connaisseur. But you could say something more. For istance:
it was established in 1979 by Matt Johnson.. Uncertain Smile has been voted by an Aussie radio as one the three all time best songs. Last work on 2002, but these days Matt is presenting a new one. Au revoir mon ami.

Going to see Cursive live day after tomorrow... jealous?=) I'll give you a scouting report afterwards. I am pretty excited to go. Thanks for turning me on to such a GREAT band. Cheers, Matt
You have good taste in music and you make me laugh. Bravo! There are 4 major cities within a hundred miles of here and they all have universities so we get a lot of good shows. I saw Jens the other night and I though, "How wonderful is it that this angel from Sweden would come and sing for me in Ohio?". Cool, non?
Hey guess what? Cursive is playing here April 5! Pretty cool. I found a torrent that is uploading all their albums. I'll give you a scouting report after I go. Cheers, Matt
awww. Who loves you? Foundry stopped by Daytrotter and recorded four songs for free download here: http://www.daytrotter.com/article/780/free-songs-foundry-field-recordings
Thanks for the come back. Yeah we have a couple of great local venues for up and coming bands, and London is only 70 miles away. Just picked on The Dodos too! Keep in touch eh!?

You have good taste in music and you make me laugh. Bravo! There are 4 major cities within a hundred miles of here and they all have universities so we get a lot of good shows. I saw Jens the other night and I though, "How wonderful is it that this angel from Sweden would come and sing for me in Ohio?". Cool, non?

Me personally? No. I prefer all of that "where does food come" information to remain a mystery. But other Americans? I'm sure they do. =)
